Place Review: The Conquerors v2.13

The game "The Conquerors v2.13" by 'HatHelper' is plain epic sauce with extra spice!  You can just tell that plenty of scripting work was put into this game to make all the various components of it fit.  Now to go into a more detailed summary of the game.

So, upon joining it had taken me a few minutes to discover what the objective of the game is and how to play.  In order to successfully play the game you must attempt to eliminate the other player's bases by destroying them with your allies using Ground Troops, Tanks/Transport Vehicles, Air planes, Spacecraft and Watercraft, sounds simple right? Well, kinda. Each type of force varies on how to create it, for example you need  barracks to train ground troops and an airport for air crafts, etc.  It takes over an hour for an average game to go on, so don't join this game thinking that you can beat it in 5 minutes before you leave for class (Trust me I've tried, let's just say I almost missed my bus). Also when I mentioned the various forces available for the game? Well, I left one out, NUKES! Everybody loves nukes, heh.

Well, its now time to rate this son of a gun:

Scripting: 9/10 I really enjoyed how smooth it ran considering all the moving parts/new parts being created constantly.

Building: 7/10 Great building in all but if it had more detail it would be even more epic sauce. Although I can see some lag problems if it had more detail in to the building.

Creativity: 6/10 I've only seen a couple games like this on ROBLOXia but I've seen several similar games on Steam for example.

Total: 7.3/10 VERY Good game. Addicted to it on my first play!

Tips: Well, I can't really expect to see it being updating since I think 'HatHelper' Is P-Banned (Perma-Banned). But anyways here's some tips.

- More resources like oil to collect
-Maybe some different kinds of power crystals, Super Crystal, Gives off more cash per/minute

Anyways this concludes my FIRST place review here on Robloxia Sun, I hope to do many more!

Item Review: Pwny

PwnyNow, lets start off by mentioning that Pwny is an excellent piece of up-to-the-minute gear. It has a very weird means of control and when you get this bad-boy out during a fight, nothing can stop you; you immediately overpower your opponent. But I think the name 'Pwny' speaks for itself, don't you?

This gear is a reasonably priced at 800R$, and I think that it's good that not every Robloxian can obtain this brilliant gear, it's a real "trooper's" weapon.

To use this gear you would simply select it and click. Using it isn't the hard part, directing it is. Naturally, the Pwny's powerful weapon moves towards the direction you're looking. This isn't a bad thing, it allows it to be very hard to control and not easily aimed. The weapon a Pwny uses is a platform with spikes underneath, after a small amount of moving on the platform it will fall to the ground killing anybody underneath it.

This gear is very violent. Although I approve of defence and skill. I do not approve on violence, and this extremely dangerous weapon should only be used in life threatening situation. Sort of like 'it's you or them' situations, because then you can let them die.

Mesh Quality: 9/10
This is actually an excellent mesh, and really fits well with it's texture.

Texture Quality: 7/10
Texture fits well, but doesn't look all amazing in colours.

Looks: 5/10
Not a looker, but certainly a fighter.

Overall: 7/10
Excellent weapon and should be used in life threatening situations!

CFrame Review: Compound

CompoundCompound by 'Samaxis' is an excellent game, it features an excellent combination of brilliant scripting and outstanding CFraming in conjunction with the building it possesses. Even though this game takes a high amount of PC power, if you do have the computer that can handle it on maximum settings.

This game features a few interesting Guis, the Gui features the 'GetMouse()' function, allowing someone to manipulate the mouse without making them use a Tool or Hopperbin. One of the most bold gui is the lens-flare. For those of you who don't know what a lens-flare is, this is what a lens-flare is a series of beautiful light that the sun is casting over the lens of your eye or a camera. The lens-flare is in a certain angle which is determined by the angle of which you are looking towards. In Compound once you look at the sun, a lens-flare appears on your screen and is determined by the angle of which you are looking towards. This is a feature that is really beautiful, and just adds to the CFraming that Samaxis did in this game.

Compound has a collection of guns with which you can cycle through to find the perfect gun for you, to cycle through them you can just use your mouse-wheel to change the weapon, (sort of like Team Fortress 2). Some of the weapons are very nicely built and very well sized. Due to the fact that this game is a first-person shooter, the sizing of the gun and it's position has to be perfect, Compound is an excellent example of a game with precise positioning and scale. It's a perfect specimen.

Although I believe there is too little to do in Compound, it is an excellent game and possesses some of the best CFraming I have seen in a long time. Which is why, Compound is one of the top CFramed games of this 'era' in ROBLOX.

CFraming: 10/10
Wow, so excellent, I couldn't think of anything to say that's bad!

Scripting: 7/10
It's pretty good scripting, the lens-flare is especially good and really adds to the brilliant CFraming.

Overall: 8.5/10
This game is a very good specimen of a game that should be on the front-page and should be showcased on the ROBLOX blog to influence and encourage other users to put as much effort as Samaxis has in their games.

CFrame Review: The Wind

'The Wind' by Asimo3089 is an excellent specimen of a well-CFramed game in conjunction with some pretty nice scripting.  It contains a boat that circles the map and some grass overlapped by snow. With this seasonal feature the game looks like a reality. It contains white wind that makes the sound of a strong wind pushing force along your face.
The Wind [2.4.0!] *Staff Pick of 2013*

The Wind has some brilliant CFrames added by Asimo, his ability to CFrame is really showcased in this game. I have no doubt that Asimo spent at least a few hours creating this game. His ability to showcase a season in real-time with excellent scripting and building really does make the game look beautiful. It doesn't look bad in any way.

This game has a very nice-fitting Skybox, and the clouds really do look like they are about to snow. The game's use of Dynamic Lighting is really visible and does look correct in the right manner. The house in The Wind is no different from all the other parts of building, excellent. The doors open when you push them running on a hinge. And the house has some well-fitted interior, such as tables and a basement that really works.

Given the choice I would play this game everyday just to admire the beauty and precision is possesses. It really does top all the games on ROBLOX.

Building: 10/10
Excellent, brilliant, I can't wait to play this again.

Scripting: 8/10
Excellent, but isn't top-top scripting.

CFraming: 10/10
Never met anybody so good.

Overall: 9.5/10
Too good.

Curious Caps - DJ Hair

Hey, here's your first 'Curios Caps' hat review.
Today I will be reviewing DJ Hair.

DJ Hair - 150R$

So...you're browsing through the catalog, you see this great hat! It's got hair and headphones in one hat! Say you've bought membership for your account. And you've seen this hat you love for 150R$ you think to yourself, "Hmm, I've got to get this hat, it looks excellent".
Or, maybe you haven't got a membership and you're looking for a great item to spice up your look and have enough tickets for a currency trade to 150R$, a bit steep but it's potentially 2 hats in one, I'll take it.
You're excited. You think that ROBLOX has forgotten the true value of this hat! You click 'Character Customization' and wear your DJ Hair; it looks okay but the headphones are a bit tacky. Then you go off to brag about how you got 2 hats for the price of 1! You enter the game. You start to tell all your mates and strangers about it. Then somebody laughs. "You have a ponytail, hahaha". Then you notice. Then you realize what a fool you've been, You put other hats on. And remember that Shedletsky has said before "no refunds". Which saddens the grin upon your face.

This hat falls under the 'completely awful' section of these 'Curious Caps' reviews.
Unless you like the idea of a bad hairstyle and tacky headphones that is.

Overview:

Mesh - It's a great mesh, excellent. You can tell that time and effort went into making it. 7/10

Texture - The texture is tacky, and I hate it. 3/10

Style - It's awful and doesn't look right on a male, and if placed upon a female it looks wrong. 2/10

Overall - Not really anyone's type. 4.5/10

Hope you enjoyed

Curious Caps!

What is Curious Caps?

'Curious Caps' is a small series of hat reviews hosted on 'Robloxia Sun' that include hats that are exceptional or a completely awful. You can request hats for this topic, including a reason in a personal message or tweet to me, '@ethans789' or 'ZakDarke'.You may also send in re-textures made by other users, but they have to include a valid reason. I hope you enjoy reading these reviews as much as I enjoy writing them.

The main reason for this little chapter is to entertain you as much to inform you of these hats. The reviews are out from the ordinary one's you will see on this blog. Limited or collectable hats are not valid requests as they are to be chosen by staff only. The reason for not including limited items is due to the fact that they are not very universal, meaning that not all players can use them or wear them.

Item Review: Mean Green Top Hat

Mean Green Top Hat
I often look through lists like the games page, or the catalog and try to find an item or place suitable to review on Robloxia Sun. But see, the thing is, Roblox doesn't have a mass-amount of items that are good, being released. This is one of those awful hats that are often released, the 'Mean Green Top Hat'.

Now, the Mean Green Top Hat is a new item added onto the catalog not long ago, and it hasn't been a best-seller, due to the fact that the mesh it portrays is not attractive in anyway and the partition of it with a face on it doesn't look cool under any circumstances. The cost of the item is 1000R$. I believe that 1000 Robux is a huge amount to pay for an item of such unpleasant qualities, such as the face on the top of the hat that looks like The Grinch.

The texture that the hat endures is not very pleasant, and green isn't an excellent colour to put on a Top Hat. In my opinion, I think if this hat didn't include a great-big monstrous face on the top of it, it wouldn't be so bad.

Not only is this hat over-priced, it has only been sold 60 times. This gives me the impression that I am not the only person who believes that this hat is not top-quality or even good for that matter. Although the mesh would have taken a substantial amount of time to create, and is amazing, no doubt the mesh is amazing, it doesn't look as good as it took. Therefore, I am not rating this hat very high.

Mesh: 7/10
The mesh is excellent, and looks like it took a very long time to create, but I don't like the way it looks like it's moving, and when you are in-game it doesn't.

Texture: 3/10
The texture is awful, a monstrous face, in conjunction with a bogey-green colour is just awful.

Overall: 5.5/10
Could do with some revamping.

Place Review: Robloxity

Robloxity *Updates on New Servers*_ImageHello it's me, Zakary. I am going to review a game called 'Robloxity' today. When I first played this game I thought of it as an awful game with average quality scripting. But as I have played it; I mean really played it. I started to get addicted to it and I have played it everyday this week. It's become really addictive.

When I played this game, the thing that disappointed me the most was the fact that the buildings didn't endure materials, it was a big let-down because I was really expecting some high-quality textures due to the games reputation.

When I got 500$ I bought myself an 'Exotic Car', in other words a car that can outrun any other vehicle in the game. And it was correct. I was my normal team, 'Criminal' and I survived a hefty amount of police attacks due to this excellent 'Exotic Car'. It sped me past the police and far away from them, they lost me on an intersection.

In Robloxity you are allowed to buy houses to live in while the night passes by. The houses in this game are very user friendly, allowing you to lock and unlock the doors and garage. This feature really adds realism to the game itself; makes the game a reality. The game consists of many different teams and jobs. I am usually a Criminal or a member of Public Transport, as I like driving around in a bus. Some of the vehicles spawn in a glitched position. For example I spawned an exotic car and it was inside the block.

The scripting in this game is intense, it has a nice chunk of Camera Manipulation at the first view of the game when you are playing. The game is pretty simple to navigate the guis, they are not hidden and are able to be closed to ensure maximum gameplay, in my view all games should have this feature. Because guis can really get in the way of things.

The game does have some disappointing areas, such as the tools not being placed in your inventory according to what career you have, the moods such as 'Sleepy' faces don't really look "sleepy". I think that is a bad feature to the game, and the ability to morph into a child just promotes online dating.

Scripting: 7/10
The scripting on this game is great, but it could do with a few tweaks and being made a little bit more efficient..

Building: 7/10
I've always been a fan of classic-building. Not using materials, although I would have preferred 1Dev3 to use materials because then the game would suit it's name more, I only think classic-building suits certain genres.

Overall: 7/10
An excellent game, but is still not the top of the top.

Hi, I'm Ethan.

Hi, I'm Ethan Shoulders, tagged as 'ethans789'.
As this is a ROBLOX blog about news, I'll make this more directed at my ROBLOX life.
I first joined in 2010, quit and rejoined September 2012. I was literally 'begged' to come back by my friends. My account is 'ZakDarke' and I regret not making a suitable name.
I can build reasonably well, but I prefer to make loose designs with parts in Studio. None of these are published as I simply delete them once complete.
I like to help people, and all requests that are in my power to be competed will be done. But otherwise, unless you want me to, I couldn't care less about what you do.
On ROBLOX, I attempt to make games to thrill users. Give them a good time.
I also have a Wattpad account, with the same username as my ROBLOX account [ZakDarke, if you've already forgotten.]
I'm emotionally secure, and not much can alter my judgements.
If you need help; with issues, relationships, making something or anything; rest assured I will do my best.

Hi, I'm Zakary Wilson

I've been on Roblox for many years now, if I am correct I joined ROBLOX in 2008 on a different account named 'Goldrush99', I am 13 years old and I have been writing blog posts for a year now on 'Roblox News', a blog created by Arbirator. Me and Arbirator have been friends for a while now and we attended the hackathon at BLOXcon together. It was really fun and we had a laugh.
zakary99
My user, Zakary99.

The first game I ever played on ROBLOX was the iPhone Obby. It was very difficult at the time because my computer was running on an old Intel Integrated graphics card. Nowadays I play games and I am able to assess their ability to make you want to play them.

All my Roblox ambitions have been fulfilled now, and I have become a far better writer and game-programmer than I could have ever hoped for in my dreams. Roblox has become a main-asset of my virtual life, and as I have been playing it for 5 years, I have really got to know the virtual reality and it's community. Although I don't think highly of the Roblox Community, you do get the odd user who compliments you. Usually I speak to someone who thinks I am inferior to them. Which makes me feel sad, but don't let anybody get you down because who you are is nothing to do with them!

In my free-time I play games on Steam and Roblox. But most of the time I am programming on the Unreal Engine or Roblox. My Lua skills have really advanced, from being able to print code like 'print("Hello World")' to being able to make chat systems, levelling systems and guns. Although I am still not full-fluent, I do know most of the Lua aspects and consider myself an expert on Rbx.Lua.

On this blog my role will be to manage and write place reviews, item reviews and site updates, exciting I know!

Thanks for reading.

Welcome to Robloxia Sun!

Hello, you may know me as a previous staff member of the blog, ROBLOX News, founded and owned by 'Arbirator'. Arbirator and I are good friends, we met in BLOXcon and attended the Hackathon together. I, amazingly, won Grand Master award, and Arbirator won Master. It was funny because me and Arbirator made a boat that we had just cloned parts on, it fell apart, but we still got points.

Robloxia Sun is my first formal attempt to create a blog at high-quality standard such as ROBLOX News post' standard. As I have already endured experience partially running a blog I am very confident that I can entertain you users with what I write, there's also going to be staff openings in the near future.

I will be producing place reviews, hat reviews and more for the readers of Robloxia Sun, assuming it has any! Stay tuned. There's lots more to come on Robloxia Sun!
